Carlinville Area Hospital and Clinics opened a new location October 10 to serve the residents of northern Macoupin County. A mobile medical clinic was opened in Virden as a walk-in Clinic. No appointments are necessary for the clinic. The clinic has two exam rooms and is handicap accessible. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at 1611 N Springfield St in Virden.
