Centralized Scheduler
Position Summary:
The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for the pre-certifications and scheduling of hospital services for patients when physician's orders are internal, telephoned, faxed or brought in by the patient. This includes obtaining insurance authorizations, pre-registering patients, and verifying that the diagnosis provided and testing ordered meets Medicare Coverage Policy prior to scheduling in an effort to reduce denials by Medicare and in compliance with the applicable laws and regulation.

Status: Full-Time; 80 hours per two week pay period; Days; Non-Exempt
Education/ Certification Requirement:
- High school diploma or GED required; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
