Acute Care

At Carlinville Area Hospital & Clinics we are equipped for Acute Care in our Inpatient unit. Our nurses and hospitalist are available to provide attentive inpatient care for serious illnesses, injuries, and surgery recovery. 

What is Acute Care?

Acute care is the area of the hospital in which a patient is treated for a brief but severe episode of illness, conditions that are the result of disease or trauma, and during recovery from surgery. These patient are usually medically stable and ready to be discharged within a few days.
